Program description: Industry sources believe that employment growth for this occupational group will be above average. New positions are being created as trade grows. According to industry sources, finding qualified workers to fill openings in this field is difficult. Brokers must offer their customers a high level of service by using the most up-to-date knowledge and tools. New methods allow brokers to be more productive and to respond to market conditions faster. International Trade and Business Managers work in importing and exporting all kinds of goods . They prepare and process import/export documents and other forms for clients, according to customs regulations, laws and procedures. They arrange for the payment of fees associated with transporting, storing and importing goods. They also provide advice to clients on export and import restrictions, tariff systems, letters of credit, insurance requirements and other customs-related matters. In some cases they may represent clients before administrative tribunals or in other dealings with government officials. Most use computerized information management systems. They also use on-line computer networks, such as the Internet, to communicate and gather information. This program gives the student the necessary skills to be competitive.

Entrance requirements: Grade 12/GED or mature student status. Applicants must successfully complete the admissions interview and entrance assessment.
