MEDICAL ENGLISH
Daily classes include an overview of anatomy and physiology, terminology and common medical abbreviations related to body systems and general heath care.
This course is designed as a 12 week (300 hrs) program that can be taken in 4 week blocks. It covers the anatomy & physiology related to the body systems, standard medical abbreviations, basic pharmacology terms and abbreviations with extensive word terminology, and communication skills related to many medical fields. Afternoon classes will involve practical skills and interactive communication focusing on patient-professional and colleague interaction. Additionally, the students will learn about many other topics related to the caring of the patient, resident or client living in different assisted health-care facilities. Procedures that are essential knowledge for the nurse are also seen in detail.
